Patlabor's Tyrant 2000

Patlabor's HL-96 Tyrant 2000

For some reason, i am having good luck in finding toys at my local surplus shop. During one of my trips a couple of months ago, I found this robot mecha thing, its kinda big and made of vinyl, looks really good and that was enough for me to warrant a purchase so I grabbed it, bought it and brought it home.

Since i know absolutely nothing about this cool robot thing, i will give you info that i have painfully researched (and by "painful" i just mean "google") =) ...

Technical and Historical Notes

The HL-96 Tyrant 2000 is a heavy duty construction labor produced by Hishii Heavy Industries. The Tyrant's powerful body makes it well-suited to construction, and it can match the power of the AV-98 Ingram. Because the Tyrant is so widely used across Tokyo, it is often stolen and used in labor crime. In 1999, a Tyrant working in an urban area goes berserk and ignores its pilot's instructions. Collateral damage is multiplied when gun maniac Ingram pilot Isao Ota of the Tokyo police's SV2 engages the rogue labor. Although unknown at the time, the Tyrant incident is an early example of a hidden program in Shinohara Heavy Industries' new hyper operating system that causes labors to go berserk under certain situations.

The greatest thing about where my life is right now is it's very relaxed and chill. I'm just hanging out, being myself and doing my work, oh and buying toys...lots of toys.
